We call our CDN a VDN, or Video Delivery Network. The traditional CDN is a relic of the time when most of the content on the internet was static and "downloadable" (i.e. not streamed). While other companies simply tried to make live streaming work within their existing infrastructure, we built an entirely new architecture purpose-built to address the intricacies of live streaming, one that lets us provide pristine video quality to viewers worldwide in milliseconds.
